Unless you live in Maranello, it's not every day that you see a Ferrari on the street, much less a heavily tuned and modified one, but the carefully created black and tan Ferrari California from Novitec Rosso makes us wish it were a more common event.

A full 500 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque are on tap from the car’s modified V-8. The engine breathes a bit easier than stock as well thanks to a custom exhaust and high-flow catalytic converters.

That much power delivers true supercar-like performance of 196mph top speed and 3.9 second 0-62 mph runs--all with Ferrari style and comfort. That's a hard package to argue with.

In terms of appearance, Novitec Rosso has left the door wide open for its customers, with this example merely showing off some of what they can do. Unique, one-off or extreme high-end materials and design are available upon request.

Custom 21 and 22-inch wheels are available, as is an adjustable sport suspension and 35mm lowering springs. A custom front spoiler also attaches to the production bumper and lends the sports car an even more striking face. Its sophisticated shape further reduces lift on the front axle for even better directional stability at high speeds.

To reduce lift on the rear axle and thus achieve an optimal aerodynamic balance Novitec Rosso equips the California with a newly designed diffuser for the rear apron and a spoiler lip on the trunk lid.
