2013 Toyota Verso

Bagikan :
Toyota has unveiled the revised Euro-market 2013 Toyota Verso, a seven-passenger compact MPV based on the Toyota Auris. The car receives a face-lift, interior revamp, and a revised 2.0-liter diesel engine. The pint-sized people mover will join the Auris and Auris Touring in Europe to complete Toyota’s C-segment lineup. Toyota says more than 300 parts were changed on the 2013 Verso, which was the first full-scale project taken on by the brand’s European operations. There, product planning, design, research and development, and purchasing strategy departments took the updated Verso from the concept stage to final production model.

The vehicle will be assembled exclusively in Turkey, and Toyota estimates European sales of around 50,000 units in 2013. 2013 Toyota Verso Rear Three Quarters The Verso’s styling recalls that of the recently updated not-for-U.S. Auris, sporting sleek headlights, a slender, divided front grille, and wide trapezoidal front valance opening. Toyota says the aim of the styling updates was to bring down the vehicle’s perceived height, while also accentuating its length and width. Inside, the updated Verso gets new seat fabrics, soft-touch materials, and improved trim surfaces. The seven-seat Verso has 32 different seating configurations. The MPV’s 2.0-liter diesel I-4 engine has been revised for increased low-end torque, reduced noise, and reduced CO2 emissions. Also available are a 2.2-liter diesel, as well as 1.6- and 1.8-liter gasoline I-4 engines, which carry over from the previous model. The 2013 Toyota Verso will make its public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show next week. Though we already get the Toyota Prius V, would a compact seven-seater like the Verso perform well in the U.S. market?
