Mini Paceman Starts at $23,900, Clubvan Officially Uncovered – 2012 L.A Pricing for the 2014 Mini Paceman has been announced, revealing that opting for fewer doors will cost more money. The coupe crossover starts at $23,900, or $1200 more than the four-door Countryman. The two-door made its North American debut at the 2012 L.A. Auto Show, alongside the stretched-out Clubvan.
The Paceman joins the Mini lineup not too long after its larger sibling, which joined the family for the 2012 model year. The base model is motivated by a 121-hp 1.8-liter I-4, but can be upped to 181 hp with the racy Paceman Cooper S, which costs $3600 more. All-wheel drive can be added to the S model for an extra $1700 to create the $29,200 Paceman S ALL4. Mini promises the Paceman retains its go-kart-like handling, however, it loses some of its Mini DNA as certain center controls have been moved to the door panels. While all models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, a six-speed automatic is available.

Other standard features include sport seats, a two-part center rail storage (single-section center rail is extra), electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, model-specific door sill lettering, and an audio system with auxiliary sockets. The Paceman will roll into dealerships on March 16, 2013.
There was also another special delivery at the L.A. show with the upcoming Mini Clubvan. Based on the Clubman, the Clubvan’s dimensions are identical to its platform-mate, the difference being that it’s marketed as a commercial van. The rear seats are gone and rear side windows are blocked out, with the show car’s white opaque windows advertising locksmith services. Otherwise, the car is the same as the Clubman. The 2013 Clubvan is expected to go on sale in March with a starting price of $26,000.
