The 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid is not just another simple car. This midsize sedan is revolution in hybrid car market. It is one of the most technically advanced cars in the market. Ford redesigned the Fusion for 2013 as a global midsize sedan car. The 2013 Fusion Hybrid isn't just a rehash of the 2010 Fusion hybrid. It features an all-new, downsized Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.0L instead of 2.5L. Relative to its predecessor, the Fusion Hybrid sees improvements of 15 and 22 percent to city and highway gas mileage, respectively.
Ford has just announced that the all-new 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid has been rated as the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan available in America. The Fusion Hybrid is rated at 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and has a 47 mpg combined fuel economy rating. And the plug-in hybrid tops 100 mpg equivalent. That means that it is more fuel-efficient than its main competitors the Kia Optima Hybrid, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, and the Toyota Camry Hybrid.
Fusion offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants and two fuel-efficient EcoBoost four-cylinder engines for customers. In addition, Fusion is available with Ford’s patented Auto Start-Stop system, which automatically shuts off the engine at stationary idle to help save customers even more fuel in stop-and-go city driving.
The 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid has won the Green Car Journal's Green Car of the Year Award at the LA Auto Show in Los Angeles.
