Supercharged 2013 Acura ILX Street Build Marks Acura’s Return to SEMA Acura has missed out on the SEMA show the past six years, but the Japanese automaker returns to the Las Vegas aftermarket show this year with a supercharged 2013 ILX “Street Build” project car as well as an ILX Endurance Racer shown in the gallery below.

Built by Evasive Motorsports, the souped-up ILX has all the right fixings. A CT Engineering supercharger kit has been bolted onto its 2.4-liter I-4, and along with an ECU retuning from Hondata, output increases to 250 wheel horsepower. The ILX’s six-speed manual sends that power to 19-inch Volk G25 wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero tires. Stopping the modified 2013 ILX in its tracks is a Stoptech big brake kit, while Tein Street Advance coilovers give it a broader stance. Front, side, and rear underbody spoilers from Acura Genuine Accessories add a sporty appeal, as does a decklid spoiler and body side molding. The interior has been outfitted with a CT Engineering short-shift kit and illuminated door sills.
The “Street Build” ILX, however, is just one example of how the car can be upgraded for performance. The Acura ILX Endurance Racer, which also debuted at the show, is a different beast built for the racetrack. Put together by Team Honda Research-West, the endurance racer is set to compete at next month’s 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race. Prepared to comply with NASA U.S. Touring Car guidelines, the ILX racer was stripped down and reassembled with a race-spec powertrain and chassis, along with the requisite safety features including a roll cage and safety harness.
