World's Thinnest Laptop - Acer's Ultrabook

Bagikan :
Laptops are getting thinner and lighter as the technology is becoming more and more advanced. One such example of this trend of becoming slimmer is the Aspire S5 Ultrabook from Acer. The Taiwan based computer titan has unveiled the world's thinnest laptop which is only 15mm thick at its widest point.

Acer unveiled the world's thinnest laptop at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January this year. The Acer Aspire S5 is some 15mm thick at its widest point and weighs less than 1.35kg. On its way to size-zero battle it has dethroned the previous title holder for the thinnest laptop in the world - Apple's MacBook Air.

The Acer Aspire S5 may be slimmer but the size doesn't prevent it from performing the functions you need in a laptop. Within it there is a brand new third-generation Intel Core i7 processor. It is also equipped with a 128GB SSD drive that enables super-fast boot times.

It has a 13.3-inch LCD, has an instant-resume functionality of 1.5 seconds and battery life that lasts several weeks in sleep state. It is powered by Windows 8 operating system. The thinnest laptop in the world is as good as any other laptops of bigger size and in some cases it's even better in performance.
